Centurions rue several chances to bag all 3!

Uhlsport Hellenic League

Premier Division

Cirencester Town  1 - 1  Hallen FC

It was yet more Hellenic Premier League action at The Talent Hire Stadium on Tuesday evening when CIRENCESTER TOWN entertained a much-improved HALLEN FC, and despite dominating for large periods of the game, they had to settle for a point in a competitive, if not occasionally feisty, 1-1 draw.

Cirencester started the game stronger as they moved the ball about looking for openings with an early Harlie Price strike crashing against the Hallen crossbar but gradually the visitors worked their way into the game with an effort from Elliott Gardner wide of the right post.

By the mid-point of the half it had become extremely competitive and physical and shortly afterwards a Hallen counter attack and shot from Gardner resulted in the visitors opening the scoring as HARRY GOLDSPINK tucked the rebound into the net.

Cirencester’s HARLIE PRICE equalised on the stroke of half-time when he too latched onto a rebound following Fraser Bell’s strike.

Almost immediately Price had the ball in the back of the net again but this time he was adjudged to be ‘offside’.

Cirencester continued to press in the second half as their visitors dropped deeper but could not find a way through the Hallen defence and it ended all-square at the final whistle.
