Pre-Season Friendly
Cirencester Town 0 - 6 Partick Thistle
Scottish Premiership side PARTICK THISTLE, who are training at Bath University in preparation for their opening game of the 2016/17 Season on 15th July, made the relatively short journey to play Cirencester Town to assess their progress in a match situation.
‘The Jags’ scored three in each half against their hosts with goals from CHRIS ERSKINE (11 & 38) and STEVEN LAWLESS (43) in the first half and RYAN EDWARDS (62), MATHIAS POGBA (75) and KEVIN NISBET (82) in the second.
The Cirencester squad of players had returned to pre-season earlier than usual to accommodate the fixture and had only had two sessions prior to the match but it would enable the management to view several possible new signings in match conditions. Due to the level of fitness and number of players involved there were eight changes at half time and three substitutions in the second half to ensure everyone received some ‘game-time’.

The next pre-season fixture for The Centurions is at Brimscombe & Thrupp on Saturday 2nd July with a 3.00 pm kick-off.
