The Centurions unbeaten start to 2025 ends in 7-goal thriller

Uhlsport Hellenic League

Premier Division

Cirencester Town  3 - 4  Roman Glass St George

The Centurions seventh fixture of 2025 brought ‘The Romans’ of ROMAN GLASS ST. GEORGE to The Talent Hire Stadium for this Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Divison match and following a seven-goal thriller ‘The Romans’ returned to Bristol with the 3-points.

The hosts made the perfect start when HARRISON REEVES opened the scoring 3 minutes into the match as both sides started positively but 15-minutes later the visitors equalised through LAURENT DAVIS-WILSON.

It took two minutes for AIDAN BENNETT to regain the lead which they kept to the interval but within a couple of minutes of the re-start ‘The Romans’ were in front as JACK SMITH scored a quick brace.

The game became end-to-end, as Cirencester pressed and the visitors countered, and shortly after the hour mark Finley Bell supplied HARRISON REEVES who added his second to level.

With ten scheduled minutes remaining JOE McLENNAN scored a debut goal and despite some neat play the home side were unable to break through and the visitors took the 3-points – ending The Centurions unbeaten start to 2025 in the process.
