Another solid team performance secures the points against local rivals

The first visitors to The Talent Hire Stadium for a Hellenic League – Premier Division fixture in 2025 were the players of BRIMSCOMBE & THRUPP and following an all-round team performance it was the home side that secured the points to avenge their early season defeat at the hands of ‘The Lilywhites’.
The Centurions opened the scoring after 13 minutes when AIDAN BENNETT headed home and just before the interval an OWN GOAL increased their lead.
Six minutes into the second period HARRISON REEVES added a third and three minutes later BONSA TESHOME stole the ball off an opponent to slot it into the bottom corner.
Just after the hour AIDAN BENNETT added his second to take the tally to five and in the closing minutes home ‘keeper Ronnie Newbery was called upon to deny Rick Davis a consolation goal.
