The home of football, corporate events, courses and celebrations

The first visitors to The Talent Hire Stadium for a Hellenic League – Premier Division fixture in 2025 were the players of BRIMSCOMBE & THRUPP and following an all-round team performance it was the home side that secured the points to avenge their early season defeat at the hands of ‘The Lilywhites’.
The home side started in positive fashion as a Finley Bell strike tested visiting ‘keeper Elliott Jones in the opening 3 minutes and Aidan Bennett headed a Lewis Thorne cross wide of the target a couple of minutes later.
This latter action soon proved to be a trial run as a few minutes later AIDAN BENNETT opened the scoring with another header. 1-0.
The visitors responded to the setback as Callum Blackford had a great chance to equalise but sliced his effort over the bar, and a couple of minutes later the action was at the other end of the pitch as Harrison Reeves delivered a cross from the left flank into their box for Ed Scott’s header to be pushed onto the bar and when it bounced down Bennett struck a post before it was cleared.
Shortly after the half-hour mark a curling strike from Bell was headed clear and as the interval approached Bell sent a through ball towards Jack Freeman but too firmly for him to collect enabling ‘keeper Jones to gather.
A couple of minutes later Kyle Pitts produced a well-timed block to prevent Rick Davis from getting his strike away and once again the action returned to the visitors end of the pitch as a Reeves’ driven cross was deflected into their net for an OWN GOAL to provide a two-goal cushion at the break.
Half Time: 2-0
Six minutes into the second period the industrious Bell slid the ball into the path of HARRISON REEVES who calmly tucked it past Jones and into the net. 3-0.
The Centurions added a fourth a few minutes later when BONSA TESHOME, who is on a good run of form at the moment, robbed an opponent and struck a curling effort into the bottom left corner. 4-0.
Shortly after the hour mark Bell charged down the left flank before cutting inside and slipping the ball to AIDAN BENNETT who scored his second. 5-0.
As the game entered the final ten scheduled minutes Bell was clipped in the box but the Referee was not convinced so play continued and almost immediately two members of the Cirencester U18’s squad combined as Edward Taylor delivered a perfect ball to Harley Arnold but his strike just cleared the bar.
Despite the score-line home ‘keeper Ronnie Newbery had to remain vigilant to deny a close-range effort from Davis in the final minutes of the contest to ensure a clean-sheet.
Full Time: 5-0
Another solid all-round team performance.
