Reeves brace secures the 3-points for Cirencester

LYDNEY TOWN made the journey from the Forest of Dean to face The Centurions at The Talent Hire Stadium for this Uhlsport Hellenic League – Premier Division fixture no doubt looking to impress their newly appointed Management Team and following an entertaining match a brace from Harrison Reeves secured the points for the home side.
The home side scored six minutes into the game when ROSS GABRIEL clipped a superb Lewis Thorne pass over an advancing Tom Way. 1-0.
The visitors responded to press their hosts with some neat football and created a couple of opportunities but Cirencester doubled their lead when HARRISON REEVES survived a couple of challenges on the edge of the box before firing inside the left post. 2-0.
Ten minutes later Ronnie Newbery produced two blocks to deny Ryan Dobbins who reacted positively to deliver a deep cross from the right flank for JORDI SHEEN to dart forward to head home. 2-1.
Cirencester started the second half strongly as Way denied Reeves and Jack Freeman before Dan Brain blasted over for the visitors.
Cirencester survived a couple of threatening runs from Brett James before Ethan Rose chased a ball to the right corner to supply HARRISON REEVES who tucked the ball inside the right post. 3-1.
Six minutes later Brain clipped the ball over an advancing Newbery who managed to push it over his cross-bar.
Within minutes Harley Arnold delivered the ball into the path of Finley Bell who was denied in a 1v1 with Way.
