Another 'added-time' Penalty Kick denies The Centurions the extra two points

Uhlsport Hellenic League

Premier Division

Cirencester Town  3 - 3  Worcester Raiders

WORCESTER RAIDERS visited The Talent Hire Stadium for the first time for this Uhlsport Hellenic League – Premier Division fixture and following a very competitive match a Penalty Kick in ‘added-time’ enabled ‘The Raiders’ to ‘snatch’ a point from the encounter.

'The Raiders’ made a strong start to the game – aided by an early ten-minute ‘sin-bin’ for their hosts - but it was the home side that opened the scoring following a fine finish into the top left corner from JACK FREEMAN at the mid-point of the first half.

The visitors levelled within two minutes through EMMANUEL OLALOKO and shortly afterwards Cirencester had to make an early substitution.

A couple of minutes before the interval HARRISON REEVES opened his account for The Centurions with a cool finish as he slid it past the oncoming ‘keeper.

Shortly after the hour-mark CARRICK HILL equalised for the visitors when he headed home a looping corner kick at the back post.

Cirencester regained the lead for the third time when AIDAN BENNETT scored following a corner kick – with ten minutes remaining of the scheduled 90, but the game was not done yet as for the second time in four games the hosts conceded a Penalty kick in ‘added-time’ and once again victory was snatched from them as The Raiders Captain, JORDAN MURPHY, stepped forward to secure a point for his team.
