The Centurions made to work hard for the points against mobile opponents

Uhlsport Hellenic League

Premier Division

Cirencester Town  2 - 1  Longlevens

The latest Uhlsport Hellenic League – Premier Division fixture brought ‘in-form’ side LONGLEVENS to The Talent Hire Stadium and once again The Centurions were made to work hard to secure the 3-points against their mobile opponents in a well-contested match.

The perfect weather conditions enabled a fast-paced, competitive, end-to-end encounter to take place with both sides having periods of possession - but it was the home side that opened the scoring after 18-minutes when a flowing move down their right flank resulted in a pin-point cross being converted at the far-post by IEUAN BAILEY.

The visitor’s levelled 9-minutes later when BEN LODGE produced a composed finish from the edge of the home box following a quick counter attack.

Cirencester regained the lead four minutes into the second half when ED SCOTT managed to poke the ball home from close range, following a scramble in the goal-mouth, but they had to work hard to secure the points against their mobile opponents.
