Cirencester score four second-half goals to take the points

Uhlsport Hellenic League

Premier Division

Cribbs FC  3 - 4  Cirencester Town

The Centurions were back on the road for their latest Uhlsport Hellenic League – Premier Division fixture - after seven successive home League and Cup matches - with a trip to Bristol to play CRIBBS FC and it was their improved performance in the second-half that secured victory at the end of a tough match.

The home side stretched their visitors from the start with the pace of their mobile front line but gradually The Centurions began to adapt to the softer grass surface and by the mid-point had tested the home defence.

As the game entered the second quarter LUCO PONSILLO provided the clinical finish following a quick incisive break.

Leading up to the interval Cirencester pressed and the home side continued to counter quickly but there was no change to the scoreline.

Cirencester came out with more intent and energy after the break and just after the hour GEORGE PEARE equalised with a firm header.

During the next seven minutes Cirencester added two more - a HARLIE PRICE diving header and a second for GEORGE PEARE following a goalmouth scramble.

The hosts were not done however, and a couple of minutes later a dangerous cross was converted by JOE DAVIS.

Within 3-minutes the two-goal cushion was restored as a clearance landed at the feet of KYLE PITTS and he promptly fired it into the empty net from just inside the Cirencester half.

As Cirencester pressed again Cribbs mounted a quick counter down their right flank for BUSTER REED to head inside the left post to complete the scoring.
