Kyle Pitts brace takes 'The Centurions' into the next round of the UHL Floodlit Cup

Wiseman Lighting (UHL) Floodlit Cup

Cirencester Town  2 - 0  Kidlington Reserves

The first home match of 2025 brought KIDLINGTON RESERVES to The Talent Hire Stadium for a Wiseman Lighting (UHL) Floodlit Cup fixture and following an evenly contested match the experienced Kyle Pitts scored a second half brace to take ‘The Centurions’ through to the next round.

With an important league match against local rivals Brimscombe & Thrupp on Saturday the First Team had a very youthful look about it as Manager James Mortimer-Jones took the opportunity to rest some of his First Team regulars by promoting six members of the current U18’s side into the squad – three starting and three on the bench – and they all gave a good account of themselves in the match.

Following an evenly contested first half a well-worked move early in the second provided the opportunity for KYLE PITTS to tap the ball home at the far post before the hour.

Fifteen minutes later KYLE PITTS was in position to head home his second from close range after a Jack Freeman corner kick had evaded the visiting ‘keeper.

The performances of Harry Titchenor and Javan Matumba in particular received positive plaudits after the match from some of the regular supporters.
