The Centurions denied final minute 'winner' against Biggleswade FC

Pitching In Southern League
Division 1 Central
Biggleswade FC 1 - 1 Cirencester Town
The Centurions made the long journey across the country for their third successive match to face Biggleswade FC and had a ‘goal’ disallowed in the final minutes that would have secured three valuable points.
Once again Cirencester started positively as they took the game to their hosts and following a number of attacks down their flanks JOSHUA KEYES fired the ball into the top left corner as he came in from his wing to meet a Luca Robinson cross.
Cirencester were pressing their hosts to restrict their options and as a result their main threat was quick counter attacks and from one of these HARRY DAWSON equalised when he drilled the ball into the bottom left corner from the edge of the visitor’s box.
A few minutes into the second half Biggleswade came close to taking the lead when George Wheeler-Bailey fired wide of the far-right post and during the early stages play was fairly even, although Cirencester probably had more chances to add to their score, but as the game developed the visitors began to press more often with their hosts once again relying on quick counter attacks.
In the final minutes Aidan Bennett fired the ball into the home net - but following a discussion between the officials it was ruled out as a team-mate was adjudged to have been in an offside position.
