The Centurions draw with The Kings - again

Pitching In Southern League
Division 1 Central
Cirencester Town 1 - 1 Kings Langley
In a hard-fought match it was Jake Woolley, the Referee, that made the first impact on the game as he issued three Yellow Cards in the opening six minutes but given the league positions and results of both teams over their last six matches – 12 points and a positive 6-goal difference over this period – it was inevitable that the match would be well-contested.
The home side started positively as they pressed ‘The Kings’ but it was the visitors that opened the scoring at the mid-point of the half as TEMIOLA AKINBUSOYE drove his Penalty Kick down the middle of the goal.
Encouraged by their breakthrough The Kings began to push forward with more conviction, testing the home defence in the process, but at the 30-minute mark their ‘keeper, Ronnie Sandford, had to be replaced due to an injury as he sustained whilst clearing the ball.
The final few minutes of the half were a bit frantic with The Kings creating a couple of chances but after the interval Cirencester once again started strongly and just before the hour they levelled when NICK PEARE headed home from close range following a free kick.
The home side continued to push forwards, forcing The Kings to counter quickly - often through the tricky Akinbusoye - but neither side managed to break through.
