Cirencester Town FC
The home of football, corporate events, courses and celebrations

Once again, The Centurions returned to Radcot Road for The Jim Newman Cup – but this time it was the Final - and their opponents were familiar to them as it was CARTERTON FC who they played a couple of weeks previously in a Friendly match at Kilkenny Lane – securing a narrow victory 1-2.
Carterton were quickly out of the blocks as they opened the scoring as early as the third minute when JOZEF FULLERTON calmly converted an excellent cross from Josh Crossman. 1-0.
Cirencester responded to the setback in the 26th minute when JACK FREEMAN latched on to an error in the Carterton defence to slam the ball home. 1-1.
Five minutes later Cirencester took the lead when a ‘daisy cutter’ from OLLIE PITT found its way into the bottom corner. 1-2.
Within minutes The Centurions increased their lead as HARRISON REEVES burst through to score. 1-3.
Half Time: 1-3
At the mid=point of the second half HARLIE PRICE reacted quickly to finish after the ‘keeper could only parry a fierce Reeves effort. 1-4.
Seven minutes later Price netted the rebound off the crossbar of a Jonty Welch strike but this time the goal did not stand as it was disallowed for foul.
As the game was drawing to a close LUKA KENNEDY broke away to finish and KELSEA MUBARI completed the scoring with a fine individual goal. 1-6.
There was still time for Kennedy to hit a post.
Full Time: 1-6
