As part of their preparation for the 2025-26 Season Cirencester Town have accepted an invitation to take part in THE JIM NEWMAN CUP organised by hosts CLANFIELD 85.
The competition is limited to eight teams including the hosts and The Centurions faced EASINGTON SPORTS DEVELOPMENT TEAM in the first round at the Radcot Road ground of the competition hosts.
Cirencester produced a solid display in the blistering heat and FINLEY BELL opened the scoring after 30 minutes, and within the next few minutes a powerful header from AIDAN BENNETT and a goal from HARRISON REEVES, who provided the finishing touch following a deflected strike, made it three.
Half Time: 3-0
A few minutes after the interval JAYDEN STRATFORD scored a quick brace - as he burst through to produce a calm finish, before heading home a pinpoint cross from Jordan Morris.
BONSA TESHOME added a sixth three minutes later after a fine run and finish.
As the game was drawing to a close JAYDEN STRATFORD completed his hat-trick and AIDAN BENNETT beat George Peare to the final touch to complete the scoring from close range.
