Paul Cochlin

Defender
Paul joined the club on loan from Newport County in January 2008 and made a huge impression in the few weeks he was with us, being a key influence in a real purple patch we had in January and February of the 2007-08 season.
He is a tall and commanding central defender who can also play at left-back, Paul represented Great Britain at the World Student Games and played for Carmarthen Town, Merthyr Tydfil and

Cwmbran Town before signing for Newport County in December 2005.
Above, club Vice Chairman, Dave Bougen, presents Paul with the Man of the Match award after a home match against Clevedon Town. On the right Paul volleys a goal, away at Bashley.
Unfortunately, as a result of injuries to their first team squad, Newport recalled Paul from his loan during February 2008, when we would have been extremely keen to extend his loan period.
Paul left Newport and joined Bath City in the summer of 2008, but he returned to County in October 2008 and, like at Ciren, is a very popular player with the fans.
