Chris Taylor

Midfield

Joined Cirencester in July 2016.

A naturally gifted footballer, Chris signed from near neighbours Swindon Supermarine in the close season and arrives with a great reputation having previously enjoyed a brief spell at The Corinium Stadium.

An excellent ball player with great passing ability and something of a dead ball specialist.

A superb signing who also contributes his fair share of goals from midfield. Chris left the club after a short time.

From Supermarine Website:

Appearances: 313 (23) Goals: 22 click here to include this 2015/16 season Position: Midfield

Previous Clubs: Hungerford Town, Cirencester Town, Maidenhead United, Dandenong Thunder (Australia), Swindon Supermarine, Cirencester Town, Newport County (loan) Swindon Town

Profile: Chris signed for Marine in September 2013 for his third spell with the club having left to join Hungerford Town in the summer of 2013 he returned after just a handful of games. He is midfield player and enjoys nothing more than supporting the forwards and unlocking the tightest defence with some excellent passing.

Chris first joined the club in August 2006 after being released by Swindon Town where he had been since a schoolboy, playing regularly in the reserve team until his release. He played at Marine four and half seasons before leaving in January 2011 to play for Melbourne based Dandenong Thunder S.C. in Australia.

He returned to the UK for the start of the 2011/12 season and signed for Maidenhead United where he was doing extremely well until he suffered a bad knee injury early in the season against Farnborough. After a year of treatment and hard work he returned and spent preseason with Cirencester and played a couple of games for them before returning to Marine in October 2012.

He played a major part as we reached the playoffs in two successive two seasons. Another solid season last term ended with him more than doubling his previous total number of goals from his time at Marine as he scored 15 goals from midfield.
