Matt Bath

D.O.B: 12th October 1976

Matt was signed from Cinderford Town in the summer of 2009, and he is a highly regarded and experienced keeper.

Iimg_2149_safe_catch_by_bathy_off_late_gosport_corner.jpgn 2001, Matt was playing for Whitminster in the Gloucestershire County League when he signed for Gloucester City. He quickly became a firm fans' favourite there putting in many fine performances over a six year period.

In 2007, Chris Burns, who had previously managed Gloucester, pursuaded him to move to Cinderford Town. In addition to playing, he briefly acted as Caretaker Manager for Cinderford before taking a six month break from football. In the summer of 2008, new manager, Lee Relish, pursuaded Matt to return to Cinderford.

On the right, Matt is pictured catching a cross during a home match against Gosport Borough.

Have played a key role in our successful 2009-10 promotion season, Matt decided to retire from football to spend more time with his family. Matt came back in on a couple of occassions to help out when a keeper was required at short notice
