UNDER 8S

Cirencester Town U8's play in The Cotswold Friendly League and our
sponsor is J & S Associates based in Hampen near Winchcombe. J & S owner
John Simpson came to our rescue to provide a full set of playing kit and
rain jackets prior to the start of this season.

The squad is made up of a maximum of 30 players and is coached by Neil
Brown and Kevin Snowball who both hold the necessary FA coaching
certificates. The 30 players are registered at the start of the season.
Training sessions for this season are Saturday mornings and last for an
hour and a half.

For matches we have divided the 30 players into 3 squads which we have
called Red, White and Blue. The squads are based on each of them being
of an equal overall standard. In the Cotswold League each squad plays on
a rotational basis ensuring that every squad member gets match time. The
Cotswold League is based around fair play from both the teams, coaches
and supporters. In addition to the Cotswold League we supplement the
fixtures with a series of friendly matches as well as entering end of
season tournaments.

Some of the squad has now been training with us since under 5 level but
most have been with us for at least 2 seasons. We have a great team
spirit and a great bunch of families supporting us.

We believe in providing an enjoyable experience for all the lads
involved as well as providing them valuable coaching to help in their
sporting development.

This season has started very well with huge progress being made by all
of the boys.
