WELCOME TO THE U10SCirencester Town U10's have two teams that play in The North Wilts League. The A team are the reigning Under 9 champions in Division 1 and currently play in the Under 10’s Division 1 and the B team are new entrants into the league this year and currently play in the Under 10’s Division 4. The squad is also the reigning under 9 champions in the Cotswold League.
Our current main sponsor is J & S Associates based in Hampen near Winchcombe but as we will be in need of new kit later this year we have been fortunate to land on going sponsorship from Umberto Giannini Hair Cosmetics Ltd .
The A team is currently made up of 17 players and is coached by Neil Brown (Level 2 coach, FACA member, CRB checked and current North Wilts League Under 10 representative team coach) and Kevin Snowball (Level 1 coach, CRB checked).
The B team is currently made up of 13 players and is coached by Rob Gill (Level 1 coach, CRB checked) and Jim Wainwright (Level 1 coach, CRB checked).
With the jump to 11-a side next season we are always interested in offering taster days for any prospective new players as we look to build up larger squads.
Training sessions for this season are Friday evenings at 5-30 and last for an hour and a half when daylight allows and an hour when training is in the Cirencester Arena.
For matches the squads selected for the North Wilts League and cup matches is very much based on ability however we make a commitment to ensure all players are involved in a stipulated number of games per season by arranging a series of friendly matches.
League and Cup matches are generally played on Sunday mornings with friendly games on Saturday morning.
Some of the squad has now been training with us since under 5 level but most have been with us for at least 3 seasons. We have a great team spirit who know how to win and lose in the correct manner showing sportsmanship at all times. We totally endorse the FA’s RESPECT campaign which all parents have to sign up for in advance of the season commencing. We are very fortunate to have a great bunch of families who not only support their boys at matches but also help with the weekly matches in erecting goals, refereeing and fund raising as well as helping at the coaching sessions when needed.
We believe in providing an enjoyable experience for all the lads involved as well as providing them valuable coaching to help in their sporting development and some “life lessons along the way.
