WELCOME TO THE U10S

 

 

The players who make up the U10s are a very social group with nearly all having played football together at the club since they could stand long enough to kick a ball!

 

 

Our coaching aims are to create a fun environment in which players learn basic football techniques and to deliver opportunities to develop these into skills. Come match time, the coaches, parents and players follow the principle that mini soccer should be fun and that these events should be seen as an opportunity to assess how the players are developing. Of course, Sunday lunch does always taste better if we happen to win but we all understand that Christmas will not be cancelled if we lose!!!

We are delighted this season to be able to continue with our main sponsor, Cirencester Roundtable, whose generosity has enabled us to supply all U10 squad members with their own individual match kit. In addition, we would also like to express our sincere thanks to the club kit supplier, Bergoni, for selecting to sponsor each U10 player with the official club windproof jacket.

 

 

This season sees us continue to play in competitive leagues and we have divided the players into three teams. Two teams play mini soccer in the U10 North Wiltshire Youth & Minor West and South Leagues with the third playing in the U10 Cotswold Youth League.

 

 

We said we were a social bunch and we are! Some of the events the U10s have organised for this season are curry nights, squad training with Swindon Town F.C., a trip to see a Premiership match, football festivals, end of season inter squad competition and party, and sponsorship of a home First Team match with lunch for U10s and half time penalty shoot out on the pitch.

 

It’s a tight group but we always welcome interest from prospective parents and have a mentoring programme in place where existing players assist those joining to find their way around and make new friends in the squad.
