Wayne Turk

Midfield

D.O.B: 21 January 1981

Wayne was a member of Dave Hockaday's hugely successful Academy team of the early 1990's and became a key member of our first team squad under then manager, Ray Baverstock.

In 1992, he moved to Salisbury City where he played for a full seven seasons, helping the Whites into the Blue Square Premier, before moving to Newport County after Salisbury’s well documented financial problems.

In October 2010, Dave Hockaday, now first team managert at Forest Green Rovers, signed the 30-year-old midfielder from Newport County initially on loan, before his deal was made permanent in January 2011.

In total, Wayne played 39 times for Forest Green Rovers, including 26 starts, over two seasons. However, unable to commit to going full-time with Forest Green, because of career and family commitments, he was restricted to just two league starts during the 2011-12 season, with the majority of his 13 appearances coming off the bench.

In January 2012, Wayne left Forest Green and rejoined Ciren, making his debut at home to Redditch United scoring the only goal in the game to secure a much needed victory in our battle to try to avoid relegation.
