Goalkeeper
DOB:
A highly rated keeper who joined the club in July 2007 from Salisbury City.
He previously came through the junior ranks at Swindon Town to earn a professional contract before leaving to join Salisbury in the summer of 2006. Matt had a superb 2007-08 season with us and won the coveted "Players' Player of the Season" award.
He left the Club in June 2008 to join Swindon Supermarine with their keeper, Tom King, moving in the opposite direction. After a couple of highly successful seasons with Supermarine, Matt rejoined the club in the summer of 2010.
Once again, Matt became an immediate fans' favourite, putting in many strong performances during the 2010-11 season and he was given the accolade of the "Players' Player of the Season" Award.
In June 2011, Matt was approached by Dave Hockaday, offering the chance of going back into full-time football with Forest Green Rovers in the Blue Square Conference Premier, and he felt it was too good an opportunity to turn down.
