CHIPPENHAM TOWN V CIRENCESTER TOWN LADIES

CHIPPENHAM TOWN LADIES 2 VS. CIRENCESTER TOWN LADIES 6

Cirencester started more than positively with an early goal when Geoff extended her neck placing the ball expertly around the keeper. The Ladies dominated the game with ease passing the ball around from defence to attack.

The Centurions struck again quickly through Vickers when she squeezed the ball skilfully past the keeper at the front post from an extremely acute angle. Vickers made the tally three when she again beat the keeper with a well placed, hard shot. However the visitors lead was cut down to two when Chippenham pulled a goal back through lack of communications.

The second half started brightly with the captain swinging a great corner in inviting a deflection from the home team creating an own goal. Ciren’s lead however was again cut down through a justifiably disputed decision when three Chippenham defenders were lingering offside when the Centurions defence sharply caught them off guard.

Nonetheless, the Ladies professionally carried on ignoring their disappointment and Vickers found the back of the net completing her hatrick. Annie-Five shortly followed when she fired home from close range beating the Chippenham keeper with style.

The best team performance of the season with the whole team playing outstandingly.

Vickers won player of the match completing her second hatrick of the season.
