CIRENCESTER TOWN V SWINDON TOWN RESERVES LADIESSwindon Town Ladies Reserves opened the season with a great performance against Cirencester Town FC away. Swindon started strong and the early pressure paid off in the 5th minute after Fisher's free kick fell to White who knocked it back to Polden who volleyed home Towns opener. Town's White hit the bar 6 minutes later from Potter's cross. Town had a chance to increase their lead 3 minutes later but Potters shot was over the bar. 11 minutes later Lovell's cleaver ball over Cirencester’s defence put Potter on side, which she finished from 20 yards over the keeper. Cirencester had a spell of good possession, and a defensive mix up resulted in a free kick, which was put over the bar. Swindon hit back on the break and Potters cross was met by White whose shot was block by Cirencester’s keeper. Half Time 0 - 2 Swindon again started the brighter team and after 9 minutes forced a corner which was cleared by Cirencester, only as far as Lovell who stuck the ball home from 30 yards to increase's Swindon lead. Cirencester kept battling and in the 15th minute their corner was cleared of the line by Fisher. But Town hit on the break and Chapman’s drop kick was picked up by shell, who finished to make it 0 - 4. White and Polden put the game beyond doubt to complete a great performance by Swindon.
