STOKE LANE 0 - 9 CIRENCESTER TOWN 

Cirencester survived early Stoke Lane pressure to finally show there
class and comfortably gain the three points.

Stoke Lane started the brightest and dominated the early exchanges in which
they should of done better when shooting straight at the Ciren keeper.
Ciren responded when Emily Allen`s shot was saved by the keeper when put
through. Sammie Smith was also unlucky for Ciren when her goal bound effort
was hacked off the line. Stoke Lane were battling for every ball, but when
they broke through the ever reliable Ciren defence held firm.
The deadlock was broken after 20 mins when Emily Allen easily scored when
put through. Stoke Lanes early hopes were finally extinguished in an 8 minute period when Ciren struck 4 times. Katie Kingshott made it two after a free kick from Nelly Forbes found the winger in the clear, Ellie Maynard made it three with
a 25yd strike then soon after Chyna Collings finished after a quality ball
from Katie Kingshott.

Stoke Lanes hearts were finally broken on the stroke of
half time when Chyna Collings netted at the back post from a corner.

The Centurions started the second half the way they finished the first with a goal in
the first minute. Sam Bremner raced clear, calmly rounded the keeper and
slid the ball into the empty net. Ciren were now in control and it was no surprise when they made it 7-0 after 60 minutes.

Sam Bremner finished a great move involving Frances Wilson & Katie Kingshott. Frances Wilson made it eight finishing off another quality cross.

Ciren were now controlling all parts of the pitch but a rare Stoke Lane attack should have resulted in a consolation gaol when the initial shot hit the bar and the unmarked Stoke Lane centre forward somehow managed to head the rebound over the top from 6 yards out.

Ciren had the last say when Millie Beavis, scored her first goal since joining Ciren pre-season, after Emily Allen`s goal bound effort was saved.
