On Saturday 2nd August 2008, Cindy Jefferies and Seb Goffe held a launch party for their new series, Stadium School, in the Barbican Suite at The Corinium. The first two books are Hot Prospect and Long Shot, and the series is suitable for children of about eight plus. Because the fiction series is about a football school, they wanted a suitable venue to reflect this, and so Cirencester Town Football club was their first port of call.

"The afternoon was a great success and the club couldn't have been more helpful." said Cindy. "They made lots of good suggestions, laid on waitresses to serve drinks, and allowed the guests to watch the friendly match being played that afternoon against Haverfordwest County. Several members of the Cirencester's Under 10's squad came along in their strip, which added to the atmosphere."

Cindy and Seb enjoyed the event so much, and were so impressed with the whole set up at The Corinium that they immediately became club members, and turned up a few evenings later to watch the Centurions take on Cheltenham Town in another pre-season friendly match!

Out now! Cindy's new series with Seb Goffe. Hot Prospect and Long Shot are the first two in the STADIUM SCHOOL series with A & C Black. Join Roddy and friends as they try to live their footballing dreams.

Also out now. Star Maker (from Usborne Books), the 11th title in Cindy's successful Fame School series. Tara is turning into a great songwriter, but Charlie is out to make trouble. Can Tara bring herself to help him out when he needs it most?
