RIDING HOME FOR CANCER RESEARCH IN MEMORY OF ALAN LLOYD

Alan Lloyd was our long serving groundsman of Cirencester Town FC who sadly passed away last year:

15 supporters of Cirencester Town Football Club including Alan's sons Stuart and Alan will travel down to Brentford Football Club on the evening of the 27th March 2008. Alan was a devoted, lifelong Brentford fan, hence the choice of start venue.

On the morning of the 28th we will arrive at Brentford Football Club hopefully meet the officials of the club and then set off for Cirencester on our bikes, 95 miles away. On the way back we will be stopping the night at Ardington Football Club in Wantage who are feeding and giving us beds for the night. Next morning we will be setting off early to Cirencester Town FC.

On arrival at Cirencester Town FC we will be sponsoring the BGB Southern Premiership League match between CTFC and Hitchin Town FC. On entry and during the game we will be collecting from the crowd in the stands and in the bar area.

After the game has finished we will be preparing to welcome 250 guests to a fancy dress party to celebrate our acheivements. Hopefully we will also be running a 'Sporting Memorobilia Auction' on the night too but only if the big clubs respond positively to our appeal.

All this will make the local press in Swindon and Cirencester and our aim is to raise at least £15,000 for the Cancer Research Charity in memory of Alan. With the help of Cancer Research UK we have set up a website for people to donate securely on

www.justgiving.com/home4alanlloyd

Just fill in your card details and you've helped our appeal. Everything donated on that website goes directly into the Cancer Research Charity account.
