Cirencester Town FC
The home of football, corporate events, courses and celebrations
On a heavy pitch both teams were evenly contested before an error by goalkeeper Lee Clatworthy allowed Scott Murray to steal in, knock the ball around him and pass the balll into an empty net.
In the second half Ciren scored after Scott Griffin shot from 30 yards and his fierce drive swerved in the air deceiving the home goalkeeper as it slipped beneath his body in the corner of the net.
Minutes from the re-start Clevedon took the lead again after a free kick in the corner wasn’t cleared properly and the ball was sent in to the back post for Sam Teale to head the home team back in front.
The 3rd goal cam after Scott Murray broke from the half way line leaving himself 1 on 1 with Clatworthy before slotting the ball between his legs.
Ciren had a consolation in the 92nd minute when Griffin fed the ball to Sam Packer after good work from Mortimer Jones and Packer drove the ball home on the greasy service from 25 yards.
