The Centurions back up their mid-week victory at table-topping Biggleswade Town with another away win at The Walnut Boys

Pitching In Southern League

Division 1 Central

Kempston Rovers  1 - 3  Cirencester Town

For the second time in five days The Centurions made the long trek across the country – this time to take on Kempston Rovers – and came away with a victory that keeps their slim hopes of a play-off place alive.

The game started at a high tempo with neither side able to produce an end product but as the interval approached REEGAN MESSENGER finally made the break through when he finished from close range.

Cirencester increased their lead in ‘added-time’ when NICK PEARE headed home at the second attempt.

After the interval the home side pressed their visitors who had to ‘dig-in’ but late in the game a defensive ‘mix-up’ resulted in AIDAN BENNETT being provided with the chance to finish into an empty net and he took it.

In ‘added-time’ MALACHI SOILE scored a consolation goal for the home side with a bullet header from a corner kick.
