Cirencester score all four at Chesham when they meet The Ducks

Pitching In Southern League

Division 1 Central

Aylesbury United  1 - 3  Cirencester Town

The Centurions travelled to Chesham for the fixture against ‘ground-sharing’ Aylesbury United and following a solid team performance returned with the three points.

The home side were denied an early goal when Stuart Nelson pushed a close-range Derek Feyi header over the bar following a corner kick and two minutes later George Peare was also denied for the visitors.

Cirencester began to press on a regular basis and around the 30-minute mark they opened their account when GEORGE PEARE latched onto a long ball from Jake Lee and tucked it into the net and on the stroke of half-time a well-constructed move enabled BEN WHITEHEAD to add a second.

The home side defended resolutely after the interval and countered quickly but found it difficult to threaten the Cirencester goal and as the mid-point approached some clever footwork from Felix Miles released BEN WHITEHEAD into the home box and he added his second.

Four minutes later Aylesbury reduced the deficit as a cross from their left wing was smashed into the Cirencester net by a Cirencester defender attempting to clear the threat for an OWN GOAL.

This encouraged the home side to press forward with more endeavour but they were restricted by their visitors who countered quickly.
