Cirencester Town 3 - 0 Thame United
The Centurions secured their first victory of the new season following a hard-fought and entertaining encounter at The Corinium Stadium against a very capable THAME UNITED by scoring three goals in the first half.
The match started at a very brisk pace with passing football from both sides from the kick-off and after a few minutes the visitors had a 1v1 but fired wide of the right post.
A few minutes later the visitors paid for the miss as a cross from the right looped off a defender and JONNY DENNIS was on hand to bundle it over the line from close range.
Ten minutes later Cirencester added a second with a slick counter attack down their left flank and sharp finish from AIDAN BENNETT.
Thame responded to force a low save from Stuart Nelson before heading wide but as the interval approached a cross from the right was inadvertently diverted into the visitors net for an OWN GOAL.
After the break Thame dominated possession but they were unable to open their account against a resolute home defence.
