Cirencester win 10-9 after Penalties to reach Final

Severn Sport Shield

Stonehouse Town  2 – 2  Cirencester Town

Following the fixture reversal to The Corinium Stadium, due to problems beyond the control of the organisers and Stonehouse Town, the match produced a 2-2 draw in normal time with goals from Chris Earle and Dan Brabham for Stonehouse and Dan Grieve and an Own Goal for Cirencester.

A high quality Penalty Shoot-out followed and this resulted in a 10-9 victory for Cirencester that takes them to the final of the Severn Sport Shield which will take place on Saturday against either Bishops Cleeve or holders Longlevens at a venue to be confirmed.
