The Centurions lose second successive game to a single goal

Pitching In Southern League

Division 1 Central

Hadley  1 - 0  Cirencester Town

Cirencester made the long journey to face Hadley in a mid-week fixture and for the second successive game conceded a goal after 7 minutes and despite a spirited reaction they were unable to pull the goal back so their hosts took the 3 points on offer.

The Centurions kicked off and immediately attacked down their left flank but a few minutes into the game their hosts responded with an exchange of passes down their right flank to create an opening for PETER ROSEMIN who tucked his shot inside the left post from the edge of the box.

The visitors worked hard to find a way through the home defence, despite being put under pressure themselves from quick counters, but the nearest they came to levelling was when Jake Lee struck the bar with a header from a corner kick, twenty minutes after the goal, during a period of sustained pressure.

The second half was a much more open affair of end-to-end attacks as Cirencester lived dangerously in an attempt to level and this led to a number of desperate blocks when their hosts countered in numbers.

Unfortunately, The Centurions failed to break through and suffered their second successive defeat.
