Cirencester win seven goal thriller at top of the table Ware

Pitching In Southern League

Division 1 Central

Ware FC  3 - 4  Cirencester Town

The Centurions made the long journey to Hertfordshire to face top of the table Ware FC and produced another superb team performance to win a seven-goal thriller that kept those fortunate to be there on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

Cirencester came out of the blocks quickly to press their hosts but failed to convert a number of clear chances and as the interval loomed conceded a goal when a Cirencester defender was forced into an error that enabled SAM CHANEY to advance unhindered before tucking his shot inside the left post.

Within a minute of the re-start the home side added a second when JOSH WILLIAMS converted from close range.

Four minutes later ADULAI SAMBU reduced the arrears from ten yards and just after the mid-point of the half he added another with a composed ‘pass’ inside the right post to level.

Cirencester went in front when REEGAN MESSENGER volleyed the ball into the roof of the net from the edge of the home Penalty Area.

Immediately Ware replied as JERMAINE HOWE headed a cross from the right flank into the net but Cirencester were not done and a low cross from the left found ADULAI SAMBU who completed his hat-trick and this led to a tense final ten minutes.
