The Robins score three at The Corinium Stadium
Pre-Season Friendly
Cirencester Town 1 - 3 Frome Town
The Centurions final Pre-Season Friendly match brought their arch-rivals from last season’s Southern League – Division 1 South competition to The Corinium Stadium in the shape of FROME TOWN and after a competitive encounter it was the visitors that claimed a 3-1 victory.
The Robins were awarded a Penalty Kick after 8 minutes that LUKE HOPPER tucked away to open the scoring and just before the half-hour mark JOSH NELMES levelled with a powerful near post header from a corner kick.
As the interval approached ALEX MONK added a second for Frome with a firm strike from inside the home box.
Shortly before the mid-point of the half Theo Lewis struck the visitors bar and a minute later Frome scored a third as OWEN HUMPHRIES converted from close range following a quick counter attack.
