Returning Mitres defeat Centurions
Pre-Season Friendly
Bishops Cleeve 2 - 1 Cirencester Town
The Centurions travelled to Cheltenham for their fifth Pre-Season Friendly match to face BISHOPS CLEEVE who return to the Southern League - Division 1 South for the new season on their new 3G pitch.
In a highly competitive match HARRISON REEVES opened the scoring for the home side in the 16th minute and a minute later Cirencester equalised through ROSS GABRIEL.
Just before the interval both sides struck the woodwork – Theo Lewis (Cirencester) and George Box (Bishops Cleeve).
Veteran KEVIN SLACK regained the lead for Cleeve following a corner kick in the 61st minute when he tucked his effort inside the left post.
Despite plenty of possession and effort Cirencester were unable to level.
