Extra-time winner takes The Centurions into the next round of The FA Cup

The Emirates FA Cup

Preliminary Round - Replay

Clevedon Town  1 - 2  Cirencester Town

(AET)

Following the hard-fought draw on Saturday the teams met again at Clevedon for a re-run and it took a goal for the visitors in extra-time to separate the teams.

Cirencester came out of the blocks very quickly and had three chances in the first three minutes in their opening attack but the home side survived to cause problems themselves as it became very competitive and ‘end-to-end’ by the interval.

The second period was much the same but in the 77th minute Cirencester finally opened the scoring as REEGAN MESSENGER headed home to score his first Senior goal.

Immediately from the re-start the home side equalised as MITCH OSMOND latched onto the ball on the edge of the Cirencester box to drill it inside the far-right post.

With no further goals the game went into ‘added-time’ and at the mid-point of the second period LEVI IRVING headed in from close range to score the winner for Cirencester.
