The Centurions defeated on the road
Pitching In Southern League
Division 1 South
Plymouth Parkway 1 - 0 Cirencester Town
For the second time in five days The Centurions made the long journey to Bolitho Park and suffered the same fate, a 1-0 defeat, and as a result lost their ‘unbeaten in the league this season’ record.
In a competitive match, played at a furious pace, they were unable to produce their usual brand of football as their hosts, Plymouth Parkway, were quick to the ball and gave them little room to play so that everything was done in a hurry.
The only goal of the game came in the 32nd minute when RIO GARSIDE struck his free kick from the edge of the penalty area into the top left corner.
Cirencester struck the frame of the goal twice in the second half and despite a determined effort in the latter stages they were unable to open their account.
