The Centurions complete pre-season with victory over North Leigh

Cirencester Town 3 – 0 Wantage Town
In perfect conditions for football Cirencester welcomed North Leigh of the Southern League – Central Division to The Corinium Stadium and scored two goals in the first half to secure victory.
The home side made the perfect start when JONNY DENNIS intercepted a pass inside the visitor’s penalty area before tucking the ball inside the right post to open the scoring in the fourth minute.
The visitors responded and enjoyed a spell of sustained possession around the mid-point of the half but the home defence stood firm and on the half hour Cirencester scored a second when Dennis crossed from the by-line for JOSH PARSONS to head over the ‘keeper from near the far left post.
Ten minutes after the interval Cirencester made five substitutions and it took them a little while to settle and the visitors created a few chances but were unable to open their account.
Both sides pressed during the final quarter and there were penalty area scrambles at both ends but no further goals.
