Defeat for Cirencester in second pre-season friendly

Cirencester Town 0 – 3 Longlevens
The second pre-season friendly match of the day, in preparation for the 2020-21 Season, brought Gloucester based side Longlevens to The Corinium Stadium.
Cirencester started positively and enjoyed plenty of possession but it was their opponents who looked the more competitive with their direct approach and quick closing down.
Just before the first ‘Drinks Break’ the visitors opened the scoring when HARRY EMMETT latched onto a loose ‘back-pass’ to score into a vacant net.
The visitors doubled their lead when an unmarked WILL EMERY arrived in the box to clip his effort inside the right post.
On the stroke of half time Longlevens worked the ball to the edge of the home box for JOE HASWELL to strike a low shot inside the far left post.
After the interval Cirencester looked more threatening and created a couple of chances but were unable to open their account.
