Cirencester score six without reply

Cirencester Town 6 – 0 Willand Rovers
After a delayed kick-off, due to the Willand coach breaking down en-route to Cirencester, the home side added to their visitor’s woes with a solid six goal performance.
Cirencester started quickly and had a two-goal lead within 16 minutes as JOHN DENNIS scored with a back post header and confident finish inside the left post.
Despite this setback Willand began to work their way into the game and as the interval approached a neat move provided room for Craig Veal to poke his effort wide of the left post.
After the break Cirencester once again took the game to their visitors and were awarded a Penalty Kick within 3 minutes when John Dennis was upended by ‘keeper Mike Searle as he cut into the box and MIKE POOK duly converted the spot kick.
Ten minutes later Jack Freeman crossed the ball from the left by-line towards the penalty spot where ROSS GABRIEL leapt high to power his header into the top left corner.
Cirencester were dominating play but despite this there were glimpses of the visitors potential as they moved the ball around the pitch searching for an opening but Cirencester were in determined mood and straight from a Willand attack they countered quickly for Levi Irving to slip the ball to LEWIS THOMPSON who drove it inside the left post.
A couple of minutes later a miss-placed pass from Louis Morison was cut out by Tommy Anderson and as he charged forward the culprit committed a rash, high challenge that saw him receive a Red Card.
As the game was drawing to a close TOMMY ANDERSON, making his 100th appearance for the Club, completed the scoring when he was released into the right channel of the box to finish inside the right post.
