Cirencester Town 2 – 1 Barnstaple Town
After a game of the proverbial two halves Cirencester came from a goal down to secure the 3 points in a hard fought game against Barnstaple Town.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 26th minute when MANNY OMRORE followed up to finish after a header had rebounded off the crossbar.
Barnstaple kept their lead until shortly after the hour minute when debutant LEWIS SPURRIER - who had only been on the pitch for two minutes - latched onto a clearance and slid the ball home to level.
Four minutes later Cirencester took the lead with a bizarre goal when a punt downfield by WILL TUNNICLIFF evaded the visitors 'keeper who had anticipated a touch from an incoming Jonnny Dennis.
Cirencester pressed for a third with Dennis and Spurrier coming close but there were no further goals.
