Charlie signs defender and looks at midfielder

Reported in the Wilts and Glos Standard 27th July after friendly at Malmesbury Vics

Cirencester Town have signed experienced defender Will Wellon.

The 30-year-old has impressed Centurions boss Charlie Griffin in pre-season and becomes the club's sixth summer signing.

Wellon has previously played for Evesham United, Slimbridge and North Leigh.

Griffin is also hoping to sign a goalkeeper and is also looking at former Cheltenham Town midfielder Tyreece Briscoe.
