Gloucestershire sides promoted for new season in league shake-up

There has a been a major change to the league structure that will affect the Hellenic League, the Gloucestershire County League, Gloucestershire Northern Senior League & the Stroud & District League.

Severn Sport understands that Stonehouse Town have been promoted into the Hellenic League by the FA after the initial league constitutions were announced in May.

Town applied for the promotion along with Lebeq United and after the latter won the County League they were the ones who went up and will now play in the Western League next season. Stonehouse will now join Cheltenham Saracens, Newent Town, Cirencester Development & Shortwood United in the Hellenic Division One West.

Wanderers' promotion is due to the fact their ground meets the criteria required to play at County League level.

The Gloucestershire Northern Senior League has responded by promoting English Bicknor into Division One as the 4th placed side from the 2018/19 season and the remaining place in Division Two will be filled by Charfield from the Stroud League.
