Cirencester Town Walking Football reach quarter finals of National Challenge

On Easter Sunday, Cirencester Town Walking Football Club travelled to Leicester to take part in the International Walking Football Federation Over 60's National Challenge tournament.

There were 18 teams taking part and Cirencester Town qualified for the quarter finals as runners up in their qualifying group behind Grimsby Corinthians, who went on to reach the final. Cirencester Town faced Norwich City in the quarter finals and went down 1-0 to the Carnaries in a very close tie.

Norwich went on to beat Grimsby 2-0 in the final.

Al in all, a very encouraging display from Cirencester whose only two defeats came at the hands of the winners and the runners-up.
