Evo-Stik Southern League 2018/19
Division 1 South
Cirencester Town 8 – 2 Bideford
Cirencester produced a clinical display of finishing as they scored eight against Bideford – avenging their 4-0 defeat earlier in the season in the process.
An entertaining first half produced 5 goals with ALAN GRIFFIN opening the scoring for Cirencester after 7 minutes to be pulled back six minutes later by SEAN DOWNING.
Within minutes the home side restored the lead when Jordan Morris set up JACK FREEMAN who smashed the ball into the top left corner.
At the mid-point of the half ALAN GRIFFIN scored his second to provide a two goal cushion but on the stroke of half time Cirencester conceded a second when RYAN TURNER latched onto a through ball.
Four minutes after the interval ELLIS DUNTON volleyed home a Babz Jarra knock-down to restore the two goal cushion and on the hour ALAN GRIFFIN completed his hat-trick with another tap-in at the back post after being set-up by Ben Whitehead.
Shortly afterwards the striker turned provider as he released BEN WHITEHEAD into the box and he duly obliged by scoring the 6th.
ALAN GRIFFIN converted another low cross at the back post to score his fourth and AIDAN BENNETT completed the scoring to complete a comprehensive victory.
