Cirencester concede early goal and go on to lose 4-0 at Bideford.

Evo-Stik Southern League 2018/19

Division 1 South

Bideford  4 – 0  Cirencester Town

‘The Centurions’ made the long journey to Devon to face Bideford and conceded two goals in each half to go down 4-0.

The home side made the perfect start as they opened the scoring within two minutes when Billy Tucker supplied RYAN TURNER who converted from a couple of yards.

Cirencester rallied and were pushing forward in search of an equaliser when Tucker made a quick break to the by-line before crossing for RYAN TURNER to finish off the underside of the cross-bar.  Ellis Dunton cleared the ball as it dropped but the 'Assistant Referee' indicated a ‘goal’.

A couple of minutes later Tommy Ouldridge clipped the top of the home crossbar, after a smart turn and shot, but the score remained 2-0 going to the interval.

After the break Cirencester pressed whilst Bideford mounted quick counter attacks and as the game entered the last ten minutes Louis Spalding struck his free kick against the crossbar resulting in a Bideford counter down their right flank for Turner to supply BILLY TUCKER who added a third.

As the game was drawing to a close Will Hancox made a strong run down the right flank before crossing for an unmarked LIAM GREGORY to finish from the edge of the 6 yard box.
