The Centurions lose to The Larks for the second time in four days by the same score-line.
The Bigfreebet.com Challenge Cup - First Round
Cirencester Town 1 - 2 Larkhall Athletic
Cirencester faced Larkhall Athletic at The Corinium Stadium for the second time in four days, but this time in the First Round of The Bigfreebet.com Challeng Cup, and again lost by the same score-line.
The home side had a few changes to the starting eleven when compared with Saturday as Matt Coupe, Jack Horrell, Sam Walsh and Danny Gudger started as Manager Charlie Griffin decided to rest Jordan Stoddart, Adam Connolly, Michael Pook and Ben Whitehead - although Pook and Whitehead were on the bench.
This would enable the Manager to give Matt Coupe and Jack Horrell a good run-out as they recover from injury whilst having a look at other forward options.
In another entertaining game played at a good pace it was the visitors who opened the scoring as JOE TUMELTY scored from 20 yards with a terrific strike.
Cirencester levelled ten minutes later as DANNY GUDGER finished from close range.
Despite having plenty of possession Cirencester were unable to add another and Larkhall's JOE TUMELTY scored the winner a couple of minutes from time to send his side through to the next round.
