Cirencester bounce back from mid-week drubbing with convincing victory at Paulton.

Paulton Rovers   0 – 3   Cirencester Town

Cirencester travelled to Paulton Rovers following their mid-week drubbing at Salisbury and made the perfect start when the lively BEN WHITEHEAD opened the scoring after 2 minutes at the near post following a corner kick.

With a number of players unavailable due to injury and business commitments it was a much changed team that took to the pitch and produced a solid performance of effort and team-work.

The Centurions doubled their lead in the 69th minute when HENRY SPALDING produced a moment of magic as he slipped past two defenders and calmly slid the ball inside the far left post.

The home side pressed in the latter stages but found the Cirencester defence in determined mood and were unable to break through.

As the game drew to a close SAM WALSH completed the scoring - with his first touch of the ball having come off the bench less than a minute earlier – as he confidently placed his shot inside the right post.
