Cirencester complete their Pre-Season Friendly programme with victory at Newport City.

Newport City 3 – 4 Cirencester Town
Cirencester travelled to The Principality for their final Pre-Season Friendly in the lead up to the 2017-18 Season to face Newport City - who will be playing in Welsh League Division 3 next season – and came away with a 4-3 victory.
KIEREN DIAZ-BENITEZ opened the scoring for Cirencester with a clinical finish at the back post and four minutes later AIDAN BENNETT made it two in a 1v1 with the home ‘keeper.
The home side pulled a goal back when PATRICK POPE converted from the penalty spot but Cirencester restored their two goal cushion through SAM WALSH.
Shortly before the interval HENRY SPALDING made it four with a ‘tap-in from a few yards.
After the break the home side doubled their tally when NICK SIMCOCK ‘chipped’ the ball over an advanced Matt Wieczorek from 30 yards.
The final goal of the game was scored when AARON CAREW headed home at the back post.
